just saw this movie first time Saturday night... enjoyed the movie, and many of the music scenes.
There is one scene where the Italians are hosting a dance in the town square, and Penelope Cruz does a Tango (I think... not a dance expert, and i realize the Tango is from Argentina and the movie is set in Greece, so would it have been a tango? it looked similar to me anyway) with an Italian soldier.
I loved the music for that dance. The band consisted of mostly brass, but a clarinet or two as well it seemed.
Just wandering if there is a particular name for this type of ensemble/music, and if this type of music still has an active 'scene' anywhere? I just love it, but it certainly is not something you hear much.
