Hi everybody i am new to this clarinet board, but i really need some help.
I have been told that there is a clarinet and laptop case in one, and no matter how hard i try i cannot find one. i would like to really know if there is such thing, and if so where can i find it? I am going to be a music major at college next year on my clarinet and I was thinking a case like this would be useful.
Can somebody please help me?
Thank you!!!!

I haven't specifically seen this combination, however my laptop slides very nicely into the front compartment of my Altieri case bag.

As far as I know, the instrument case company, Marcus Bonna, might have what you are looking for. I have only seen the laptop applied to a trumpet case on his website, though it may be the same with the double clarinet case.
The laptop aside, this case has pegs that securely suspend your clarinet in the case so that nothing touches that keys or alters the key-work. I myself don't have this case, I know people who do, but I use a BAM Trekking Double Clarinet Case, a favorite amongst many players. I'm satisfied.
Anyway, try Marcus Bonna, that may be what you are looking for.

The regular Marcus Bonna double case works. It can be used as a tripple case (Eb in accesory pocket inside the case) and the laptop can easily fit in one of the outside pockets.
I have a 13 inch macbook that fits easily. With the laptop and 3 clarinets it's still lighter than almost any double case!

The new BAM high-tech is made for clarinet and laptop, either in single or double configuration; try their web site for details.

I tried for years to find a good solution for carrying my Bb/A Clarinets plus my macbook pro and never had much luck. If i put the MBP in my Bam case it made it way to heavy and i was constantly worried about damaging the MBP.
The solution I have found to be perfect for me is the iPad. It only adds about a pound a half to the case, you don't need to expand either pocket and pretty much does most of the essentials. I'm absolutely enjoy my new overall music/tech setup.
Good luck in your quest.

But the iPad is not a real computer, it's a thin sheet of marketing hype with a screen too small to do anything meaningful.

Dixie-
Do you even own an ipad? I fel the same way before I actually owned one despite being an avid all things Apple fan. I'd say what the ipad does it does well. I haven't missed my MacBook Pro for a second. If you have a primary desktop or laptop then the ipad makes for a great portable computer.
