Robert Muczynski, a former Chicago composer who worked in traditional and American styles, with rhythmic influences from jazz, died Tuesday in Tucson, Ariz., according to a longtime friend and colleague, Chicago musician Richard Wyszynski.
I had the wonderful privilege to work with him several times on his "Time Pieces" and other works. He was a nice, sincere and generous man.

That is sad news. I enjoy his music. His chamber works involving the clarinet are great works.

Wow... What a loss.
I'm currently working on "Time Pieces," which, for me personally, makes it seem all the more poignant.
R.I.P., Robert Muczynski.

I'm sorry to hear that, I like his music. I'm playing his trio next season, I'll think of him when I play it and will dedicate the performance to him. ESP
