Do you think a tic tac box with a little sponge stuffed inside it would make a good humidifier?

should i punch holes in the top or just open the cover thingy?

This sounds like a particularly good idea. Why not just leave the flip top open?

How often do you intend to change the sponge?

The plastic containers that 35mm film cartridges come in make good case humidifiers. Drill or punch holes in them and fill them with a damp makeup or other sponge.
