Boys and girls,
Refrain thyselves. This is a clarinet BBoard, not a political forum. Little jokes or comments I've let slide, but things are getting out of hand.
Politics in general are now officially banned. Perhaps I'll loosen up in a while - but only in a while.

Well, if we weren't all so bushed from the whole process, I'm sure someone would try to gore you on it. After all, everyone enjoys pulling on the webmasters cheny once in a while.

In a private e-mail to me (which I can't quote here because of copyright and privacy laws), Mark gave an additional reason why he censored my message in particular. As a result, I have unsubscribed from the klarinet e-list and I have asked Mark to delete an information piece that I had given him permission to post on sneezy. My participation on this bulletin board and on the sneezy site ends with this message.

Lelia may have misunderstood my email or I may have not written it exactly as I should, and I lament the loss of Lelia as a contributor. Politics be damned.

Mark ---- Politics be damned, indeed. You are to be congratulated. We shoud all speak through our music, leaving the mystery of literal meaning to the imagination. If there is any doubt as to the power of doing so, a listen to Messian's Quartet For The End Of Time will convince; or Miles Davis' Sketches Of Spain, for that matter. Best regards.

I can understand Marks position on this and I commend him for "standing by his oars". At the same time I know Lelias feelings may have been hurt. Hopefully this will pass over and she will rejoin us again as I will surely miss her writings.

Yes, politics be damned .... and so the written word, too, at times .... without any doubt. I have great respect for Mark & Leila. I know that Mark's heart is to keep the BB free of any outside trappings. It is here that we have a showcase of knowlege & dfiscussion about our beloved clarinet. I know that Leila has contributed freely of herself & has helped many of us. It is so easy to misunderstand or misinterpret the things we "say" & those we "see & hear".
Thanks to all --- & to all a very Happy Holiday Season ... for one -- for all.

Thanks Mark on behalf of your many subscribers outside the United States. I'm quite sure Lelia wouldn't have appreciated it had I started posting messages about the political troubles of President Chirac. I hope she reconsiders and comes back to the bulletin board, for I have always enjoyed her contributions and found them useful.
