I am thinking about picking up an instrument for sale here locally when I put the serial number in the buffet sight it says it's a model number BCF1102AG
Is this a e13 ? I am going to look at it in person tomorrow.

Maybe. Maybe not. Buffet has used the same numbers for a variety of different instruments. Is the upper joint marked E13. If not, what does the instrument's logo say? Is there a letter prefix to the serial number? If so, what is it? If you want us to have a reasonable chance of giving you an accurate reply, you'll have to give us more data to work with.
Best regards,

If it's an E13 the serial number would begin with the letter K. If there's no letter K, it's not an E13.
