With much of my playing these days on harmony clarinets in a clarinet choir, I find the number of cases I'm dealing with quite an inconvenience. When I add my horn to the stack for woodwind quintet rehearsals, even my hand truck is overloaded. Thus motivated, I've made up a triple case from a Pelican model 1510 water-tight equipment case with configurable foam insert. It was tricky getting all three instruments into this carry-on size case. However, by burrowing under some of the main body parts to accommodate accessories, it was possible. The case is a bit heavy, but does incorporate wheels and a collapsable draw handle. Moreover, my bass clarinet case perches nicely on top so I can drag all four instruments with one hand without anything falling off. I'll attempt to attach a couple of pictures.
Best regards,
James C. Lockwood
