Now that I've been on this site for a few months, I've read a lot about all of the new clarinets as well as older horns. I've noticed not much has been said about the Selmer horns. About 10 years ago I played on Dave Shifrin's 10 series. It was a really great horn. I was also very impressed with the key work to the point of considering a switch from Buffet.
Anyway, are symphony players still using these horns and is Selmer still making the 10 series, or have they introduced some newer pro models?
Can anyone give me their opinions.
Thanks folks

The Selmer B-16-10R is the Recital. It is the last instrument designated as a 10. As far as I know it has been in production longer than any other model of Selmer clarinet. It is going on 30 years. I'm not sure of any changes that have been made to it over the years.

Bob, I don't know if they still make the 10 series, you can check their website to see. The Recital is a much different instrument than the old 10 was, it's a very heavy and thick clarinet. Several players, like myself, are playing the Signature these days. It's a fine horn. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com

I tend to be a believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I have a Centerted Tone, a Series 9, a Series 10, and a pre-WWII Kohlert. All are very good instruments, but the 10 is, by far, my favorite and I have no desire, what so ever, to go shopping.
