I heard yesterday from Michael Webster that he will be retiring from the clarinet professor position at the Shepherd School of Music after spring 2011. The formal search for a replacement should begin this fall. Having completed my masters there last spring, I can say first hand what an excellent environment it is for study, with one of the best orchestral training programs anywhere.
