I'm a new band director and being a clarinetist I know the more advanced literature well but I have no idea what to give a middle school aged player. What are some quality pieces? Would anyone be willing to share their lists?

There are a few books of collected solos that work well for younger players. The Rubank collection is one.
There are also collections by Mel Bay which have a lot of interesting transcriptions for different levels. The books come in three levels, in fact.
Look on SheetMusicPlus.com for ideas by searching for these collections...

Scene and Air is very nice. Canzonetta is good too and the rondo of Mozart concerto is not to hard either.

I'd love to live in an area in which the third movement of the Mozart was playable by middle school children.
Sean: I use some of the opening etudes from "Melodious Etudes" based on the vocalises of Marco Bordogni.
The Gates odd meter etudes can be excellent if the student is motivated.
I have taught the Rose Studies to middle school kids who are motivated as well.
Our music programs have been casualties of NCLB, and what I could do five years ago is not always true today.
The Rubank collection is a good start (mentioned by Katrina above) and the accompaniments are available for the kids if you use Smartmusic.

I've had middle schoolers that were playing upper intermediate literature, but there are some good collections.
Paul Harris, Summer Sketches (The Dancing Bears and Donkey Ride movements are favorites of my students)
Music Through Time, Books 1-3, ed. Paul Harris (an arrangement of Albinoni's famous Adagio is in book 3)
Clarinet Solos, vol. 1, ed. Thea King (several of my students have plaed the Allegro con Grazia from Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony)
Rubank Book of Clarinet Solos, Easy Level (March of a Marionette is cool)
Famous Clarinet Favorites, ed. Hugh M. Stuart. (several of mine liked the To A Wild Rose arrangement in this collection)

Leon Lester has a serious of etude books that I like to use for middle school students. "The Progressing Clarinetists", and then "the advancing clarinetist"-really nice etudes for that age.
