This video was produced by my friend and fellow BJSO violist, Steve Kerr, with his Middleton High School orchestra class. Enjoy.....

This reminds me of a story my college clarinet professor, Glenn Bowen, once told me (during a long lesson) of a Chicago Symphony clarinetist's annual prank. He would fix up an old junker clarinet and then, during an outdoor CSO concert near Lake Michigan, would make a very obvious mistake, suddenly stand and to the surprise of the audience, throw the offending instrument into the lake. I wonder if any of you Chicagoans might remember who this clarinetist was?? And how many clarinets arre submerged in the big lake.........??

Brilliant, the clarinet Hendrix...what a genius, I wish I'd thought of that!

Reminds me of an incident at one of Oberlin's "Mock Student Recitals."
Three violinists came out, played a Bach "solo" fugue with each taking one of the lines, finished, bowed, and left the stage. Moments later the audience heard a shriek. A trumpeter came out with a violin and smashed it on the stage...
