I would like to send my thanks and appreciation for all those who take the time to make thoughtful remarks and provide valuable information on this board.
All those who benefit from this board benefit from thoughtful insights to the clarinet, its equipment, music, as well as pedagogical considerations should be thankful for having a place to share and learn. I know I appreciate having a place where I can throw an idea around or endorse\critique particular products and get other opinions.
It's unfortunate so much of this board is overcome with bickering and personal attacks (real or perceived). I would like to express my wish for this board to stay away from such things, and maintain a civil and respectful discourse.
I would like to propose that we worry about posting relevant material, and relevant response. This is why we're here. This is why Mark and others keep this place going.

I, too, have learned so much from the comments written here. Even knowing that there's a variety of opinions is useful, so I don't go around thinking there's a "right" way of doing everything. That's a novel idea when teaching! At least I can let the student know a couple of different thoughts about how things are supposed to go and let them figure out what works for them.
Many of us appreciate this forum.

This board is amazing. It lets me mingle and get advice from people I wouldn't normally have access to, players in major orchestras and long-time teachers and repair people. I remember a recent thread where a person asked about a song on a soundtrack and within 4 hours the person who actually played the part had answered in the thread. Thats incredible!

As a new member, and younger less advanced player, the responses to my questions have been invaluable and I too am amazed at the level of expertise available on this site. I hope to be able to give back any type of factual info I can acquire in the future.
