I'm still wavering between buying a larger new case or remodeling my old one. I like the old one for its small size. I'm not certain whether it is a Buffet "Pouchette" case, or an imitation of the same style, but I like the size and even the shape a lot. It has faulty latches that I need to replace if I carry through and do the remodel. There is a really beautiful latch I've seen on some clarinet cases. It uses a bail and post closure mounted on semicircular
bosses. When the lid of the case is shut the two semicircular bosses line
up to create a circle. It appears to be nickel plated, and nicely polished. Does anyone know what cases these latches come on, or better still, where to get the latches? Does anyone know where to get any good latches of any sort?

Most repair techs have different latches and handles in stock, especially if they work on school horns. You can also order them from Ferrees.

Right, and also, you can probably find a replacement for the Buffet Pouchette case. New/old stock. mw
