Dear all,
I have recently come across an ad for a Karl Hammerschnidt Klingson 46b Boehm clarinet. I'm familiar with the German system version but I'm not sure about this one. Would this Boehm clarinet have a similar sound using a German mouthpiece and reed? Any information is greatly appreciated.

For a moment I read that as "Klingon" and had a vivid image of Worf clutching a clarinet overhead in one hand and shouting "Today is a good day to die!"

Dave, I can see it now, all the military bands will adopt this clarinet for its secondary function as a rifle bayonet...

Especially when fitted with the special serrated nuj-rlHwIj (mouth energizer) mouthpiece and titanium alloy self-vibrating reed.
