 A Fontaine Vintage Clarinet

Help! I'm looking for information on a vintage clarinet, all metal (prob plated brass) engraved on front is A Fontaine, back has the number 5348 stamped above the seam between bell and body. I'm guessing it's from 1930 or 1940's. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I restored two of these. They struck me as fairly well made student-level clarinets, played well, and in tune (not always the case with metal clarinets). Both of mine were nickel plated german silver keywork, nickel over brass body. Conventional wisdom has them made by Cousenon (pronounced 'kwi-no') of France. See more info if you use the 'search function' at this site. Those by Jim Lande especially.

I've restored three of the wood version of these, concur with the above postings 100%.
