Hi everyone,
I just wanted to comment on how impressed I am with Kim Boller who operates under the name "westwoods" on that auction site.
I recently purchased a Normandy Resonite that looks as if it were brand new! Along with the purchase came a new case, a cotton pull through swab, a 5RV Lyre mouthpiece (used but in great condition) with a new ligature and mouthpiece cover and a new Vandoren reed. In other words, everything needed to "start playing" was included.
Because I play with a rather light touch of the keys, I needed some modifications done and returned the instrument to Kim. On the day that he received the clarinet, all of my requested changes which included changing the cork register pad to one that was "rounded" for better venting and the removal of the fork cork and the installation of felt under the keys which closed against the fork (per Clark Fobes on the klarinet list) were made and the instrument was immediately sent back to me on the very same day!
Now, that is what I call great customer service!
As you can see from the picture, Kim appears to have mastered the art of restoring logos to give each clarinet a "like new" physical appearance. (If you'll do an advanced search on that auction site and look for his other clarinets, I think you'll agree that they appear to be "brand new" in appearance.)
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with "westwoods". Even though Kim offered to pay for the return shipping both ways, I felt better paying for the initial return shipment and accepted his offer to pay for the return shipment back to me. Basically, I'm just one very happy and satisfied customer.
p.s. I'll try again to post a picture.

I just found this post and wanted to concur with what you stated. I purchased an Evette clarinet from Kim, which was beautifully restored. I had a couple issues with leaks (potentially due to shipping in such cold weather). Kim offered to refund my cost of taking it to a local repair shop. The shop made a couple pad adjustments and it now plays great. And Kim did refund the repair cost. Kim was very quick to respond to my e-mails and very concerned that I be happy with my purchase.
