Has anyone tried these barrels? The prices are very reasonable. At the very least, it may be a good option if one wanted a couple of different lengths for different situations and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I'd appreciate some thoughts, especially from anyone who may own these.

Check the archives., SOmeone here has used them, but I can't recall who, or what thread it was in. The search engine is your friend.

There is not much info there and certainly nothing too recent. I was wondering if there was anything further that anyone could add.

I use one on my LeBlanc LL. After trying both the Muncy regular and the Diamond, I preferred the Diamond, and am well satisfied. I needed a shorter barrel for pitch considerations, so a direct comparison is difficult, but as to response and tone it seems comparable to the LeBlanc standard barrel.

The Muncy Diamond synthetic barrel is awesome. It's part of a group of things that I have my beginning/intermediate students on plastic clarinets acquire, and it always yields significant improvements in tone and response on their instruments.
I bought one to replace a damaged barrel on a Buffet R-13 Greenline last year. There was another expensive custom barrel on there from a maker I do not recall, but the Muncy felt and sounded better.
