Long story short, I ordered some reeds from Pro Winds on Dec 14, website still to this day says “processing”. Been a month and a half, Talked to them numerous times, they have charged my credit card over $500.00 and still no product. Their prices are good, but if you don’t ship the product, prices don’t mean a thing. Just wondered if anyone else out there has had a similar experience.
[RAB is a competitor of Pro Winds - please see below. Mark Charette, Woodwind.Org]
Thanks

20 boxes at a time?
In any case, dispute the charge - don't pay it. It'll cost them a chargeback fee, but if you pay there's not a lot that can be done.

Had very poor in-store service. I would never purchase anything through Pro-Winds.

I've never had anything but great service from Dean Foster at ProWinds. When things are back ordered my card has not been changed until the items were shipped. The second shipment has always been no charge.

Just to set the record straight. I am a Pro Wind's employee. This order was placed by a competitor (using competitor's billing and shipping address with the order) who knew these reeds were not available. (they ordered 40 boxes) As we do not sell products to other dealers, this order was cancelled in our system and a full refund was issued. We are taking the high road and will not give the name of the compeititor. Needless to say, we found this post very unprofessional.

I appreciate the information. Also, not naming the competitor, but if you google for
"Rodney Berry" north carolina music
you might get a hint ...

And now I have to go and review each and every post by RAB and delete ones where he blatantly recommended his own shop without disclosing that he is an employee ...

Don't you hate when that happens?

This is RODNEY BERRY and I do not know how this post appeared with my name and using my account!!!!
I have always provided my opinions on repair work and equipment selections as honestly as I could based on my 40 years of performing and doing repair work.
If you look at my past post I try to end each one with "just my opinion"
I have suggested the store that I do the repair work for as a source for equipment and repair but never said that they were the only game in town!!
I have had several private lesson students that have attended the university there and have purchased accessories and had repair work done at Pro Winds and received excellent service from them.
I do not need to talk bad about anyone at any time! My work and reputation are very important to me! It has taken a life time to develop and I will not resort to mud slinging at any time.
I am changing my account on the BB so if you see a post in the future from RAB this will not be me.
Thank you everyone!!
Rodney Berry

In any case, you never disclosed your association with a major retail outlet yet recommended them many, many times in the past - and did so in a very misleading manner (similar to "I just checked ____'s webpage and that mouthpiece is in stock" - when you WORK with or for ____).
Obviously that is wrong to do.

...and the Hijacker has the same Internet Provider. What a coincidence...
You sure you're the only one having access to that specific computer?
