THey aren't the cheapest ones around, but the Protec cases are top notch.

Double or single? Maybe ProTec Pro Pac double, or for single, a Gator. The users seem to like them. I have a bam trekking and LOVE it, but it isn't exactly a good price, I think they are up near $300.00 now...

The Protec "slmiline" (or slim something or another...) are very compact and around 60 dollars I think. With a cheap case, and especially a single, you will have to have another bag for music and accessories (if you have a large tuner or metronome).

Let me second JJ's recommendation. I have that Protec, and I love it. Holds the horn, 2-3 boxes of reeds, various accessories, some music, Korg tuner/metronome, Selmer 12-reed case, K&M clarinet stand, my reading glasses, and a Ridenour ATG reed finishing kit. With room for more stuff.

I still have my carry all Pro Tec case from when I was in highschool and middle school. Very nice, cheap, sturdy, safe clarinet case. I also recommend that for a cheap but very well made case. Go ProTec

I am very pleased with a Gigliotti case I bought from 1stopclarinet.com.
It is a well-made hard case that appears to be protective and had just-adequate space for supplies and stuff. All for 30 bucks.

I have Pro Tec cases for my saxes, and have no problem recommending them. But, for even less, Woodwind & Brasswind offers this:

I have one I bought for a Bundy Mazzeo I acquired without a case. The case cost me twice as much as the clarinet. I am very satisfied with the quality, sturdiness, fit, and appearance. Mine actually has a "Vienna" logo, another Woodwind & Brasswind (and Giardinelli, and Musician's Friend, etc.) house brand.
I didn't buy it for the brand, just to have a case for the instrument. And, I was very surprised at how nice it is.

I use that protec carry-all case mentioned above as well. It holds a lot of stuff, like almost everything, even some music! I like it a lot
