 building year evette and schaeffer

Hello,
I recently bought a clarinet for my daughter. It's a Buffet Crampon, Evette & Schaeffer with the serial number: K62783.
I can't find this number in the list, can anyone tell me what kind of clarinet this is and in what year it's been built?
thank you in advance!
Marian

It's basically a similar clarinet to what is now sold as the E13, they continue the K prefix on the serial numbers here too. The model is a high end intermediate, just below the standard R13.

Marian,

If you are still following this thread, I have a couple of questions. First, is your instrument marked "Master Model" on the upper joint? Second, if you look under the cluster of four keys toward the bottom of the lower joint, has some wood been cut away?

Best regards,
Jack Kissinger

Hello Jack,
I can't find the words master model. On the upper joint is (vague)in oval "Evette Schaeffer" and in the middle of the oval "buffet crampon". My english is not very good, so can you be more specific about where the wood would have been cut away?
greetings,
Marian

Marian, the words "MASTER MODEL" would be outside of the Buffet oval and below it(a little lower, or in the direction of the bell of the instrument.

Judging by the serial number, it would be one of the last ones made with the Evette Schaeffer logo before the name was changed to Buffet "E13"

Does it look like the logo in the attached photo?
