Another year done being deployed in Baghdad, and now I'm back in my home country!!! WOO HOO!!! Now it's a little bit of time off and relaxation before going to Fort Gordon, GA where I'll try to get a teacher from University of South Carolina and see if I can get sent to Clarinetfest in Austin.

Feels good to be back. Unfortunately I didn't get much performance time over there, but I had the opportunity to be the clarinetist for our Dixie Band and get a taste of some jazz clarinet. Then I messed around with some real books with a bass player and just got to mess around with jazz. I'm liking it and look forward to continuing.

09 was an interesting year and I hope to make some good musical progression in 2010.

And any 1AD clarinetists reading this, thanks for relieving me so I can get back home!!! Stay safe!!!

 Alexi

 Hello,

Welcome back. My old college roommate (well, he's old, I'm not) teaches at South Carolina now, Joe Eller. Great teacher, clarinetist, and person! Please tell him hello for me. If you need his phone number, let me know.
