 Larry Combs Mouthpiece / Opus
Author: Matt
Date:   2000-12-01 15:44

Hello,

I am thinking of investing in Larry Combs Mouthpieces and I am hoping to hear some comments on them.

Another thing that I am curious about is whether Leblanc Opus barrels are designed any differently from the Concerto counterparts?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Regards
Matt Tae

Opus and Concerto clarinets are accoustical twins. Larry Combs mps are good, but I have recent info that he is actually playing a Richard Hawkins in the CSO.

Matt,

Larry Combs are fine, but my preference is for the Hite J model. I also like the Bay mouthpiece quite a bit.

I have found that sometimes certain mouthpieces play better on different instruments.

I think I may still have one or two of my old Larry Combs Mouthpieces. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.
