We have all Ludwig today on our Chicago radio station. I am constantly reminded how wonderful it is that someone who is deceased can continue to speak to us with his music. From what I've read Dvorak wrote on the manuscript "from the New World" with no intent to sub-title it "New World"....or even "From The New World". Just why he so annotated it is not known for sure but some say it was directed to his friends back home.

I recently attended a concert of all new music. The composers were in attendance. My prevailing thought throughout the evening--If that is what passes as music today, then TG for those dead guys!

Fortunately there are living composers who do write beautiful music that touches me deeply.
