Serial # help

Doing research for a friend who has a Pruefer wooden Artist series clarinet.

Serial # is 00951 preceeded by an A. Know that that is the pitch but all threads I find several places do not help with wooden clarinet serial # year.

I know that this is German but believe this to be a "student line" horn rather than a pro model like the Silver throat. No evidence of LP or other
markings except name and the word artist.

Any thoughts or suggestions for help?? Thanks.

BTW: Pruefer was an american maker not german
