Hi!!
Recently I acquired a wooden Pruefer Balanced Tone model. I never found any reference about this model. The serial number is 45448. The logo is different than the ones I've found in pictures of Pruefers on the net. Seems to have a more modern design, reading only

Does anyone know this Pruefer model? What about the manufacturing year? Any information is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ricardo - your post is very interesting to me, since my old Pruefer 3/4 ths F B, ser. # 2501 has had me puzzled for some time. I made a quick Search [above] of our earlier discussions on our BBoard, with no Balanced Tone refs. Selmer saxophones of the 1930- '60s era used the term Balanced Action, so your's might be of that period. I'd suggest you read what little info we have and if you can include a pic or so it would help identification. Regards, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Hi Ricaardo- A very nice appearing Buffet style [IMHO] 17/6 sop. cl, are the keys silver plated? very white. I cannot make much of the logos either on my older cl or your newer-model's? pics. Both appear to have the oval and I have found Providence R I on mine. Have you found any info "nuggets" in our archives?? How well does it play? Don
Thanx, Mark, Don
