Does anyone know of any sources for metal clarinet mouthpieces? I know that silver and silver inlay mouthpieces exist, but I have yet to find one. I'm not necessarily interested in buying one, just curious as to if they are even sold anymore. -- Nate Zeien

Sugal used to make a gold plated brass clarinet mouthpiece up until a few years ago. I don't know if they still make them but i haven't found anyone that carries them anymore. They ran like his saxophone mouthpieces up around $395 i think.
Saw an old Selmer mouthpiece a while ago on eBay. Odd bugger it was.

Years ago Arthur Goldbeck and company made metal lined clarinet mouthpieces using silver and at times gold for the table and chamber. Frank L. Kaspar was one of the makers for Goldbeck and he continued to make some metal lined mouthpieces after he bought Goldbeck's share of the company. More recently, Rick Sayre in the Chicago area has continued to make a few of these mouthpieces. I played a gold lined one in his shop a few years ago.
