Just received my new/used bass and it is a hoot. One question-what do you do with it when you are not playing it. I mean what kind of stand do you use. My sax stand doesn't work.
Thanks.

The Konig & Meyer bassoon/bass clarinet stand is sturdy, collapsible and works very well for instruments that go down to low E-flat or low C. It's available from major music stores, including IMS and WW&BW, for slightly less than $100.
Have fun hooting, I mean tooting, your new instrument.

I ordered a stand from Graham, who often posts in the bulletin. I haven't seen it yet to comment on the quality, but he talked me into it, so that's something. Congratulations on the new horn! I'm still eagerly awaiting my overhaul. In the meantime I've been judiciously bending the keys, and its playing better all the time. I've still got some bad notes though. I hope yours is in perfect adjustment. Let me know how it goes for you.
