Could have been the reed. It could have not been on correctly and therefore took much too much air to vibrate. It could also be water logged of just plain bad. Of course it could have been many other reasons that one can't tell without actually seeing and hearing you play. There are so many things you could be doing wrong. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com
