Hello, I've actually recently started learning the oboe but have unearthed a clarinet from the loft [attic]! I just want to know what it is and roughly how much it's worth, with a view to passing it along.
It has obviously not been played for many a year but all the key mechanisms are fine and I can produce a clarinetty noise from it, as there are a few reeds in the case. It does probably need a service as some of the corks look a little jaded. The bore seems to be resin. It was made in China by H.Singh.

I've never heard of a worthwhile clarinet coming from China.

Hsinghai clarinets are Selmer CT/Series 9ish copies made from ebonite with silver plated keywork - and not too dissimilar to Lark clarinets.

The opinions I express are my own.
