I have an upcoming audition at my school for chari placement. However, in the music, I have to make a switches from b flat to c sharp in a sixteenth note triplet quite often (Wedding Song from Hassenah fyi). Could anyone bbe kind enough to tell be the best way to play this fast switch between note? So far, I have just been using the standard fingerings

Im sorry, Bb 4, the one with the register key and A key to the c sharp 5 with all fingers down

Use the regular fingerings. Play C# with the right pinky and keep the right hand and the 4th finger of the left hand down when going back to Bb.

leave both hands on the keys, just roll thumb and index finger between throat Bb and TRxxx.
You may have to experiment a bit - not every instrument sounds the same with such "cheat" fingerings.

so leave the right hand down but left hand has the thumb and index move only? what is TRxxx?

Sorry - TRxxx means Thumbhole, Register key and the three finger holes covered. It's an admittedly awkward method of describing fingerings.
If your clarinet allows, sound and tuning-wise, just roll the index finger from its finger hole over to the A touchpiece, and move the thumb away from the thumb hole, still pressing the register key.

I agree with GBK, if it's a problem leaving the 3rd finger in the left hand covered and least leave the fingers in the right hand covering all the holes and the C# key. Then use a little movement as possible to go back and forth to the Bb. Keep your fingers close to the instrument so you don't have move much. The problem with using the side keys is that it will be out of tune. That's better for a trill but it's possible to use if you have no other choice. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com
