 I'm sorry to intrude here - I don't play the clarinet but I have "adopted" a family for Christmas through a crisis center to play Santa Clause.  The oldest child (who is about 16) wants some intermediate to advanced clarinet music but hasn't given me any more detail than that.  I don't know whether she plays with a highschool band or WHAT.  Does anyone have any interesting recommendations?  Thank you for any help you can give me!

 suggestion would really depend upon the type of music the childs likes.  Classical, pop, ballets, show tunes etc.
 have and then I'm sure you will get tons of suggestions

 You might accompany the gift with a recording, for example, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A.  It sounds good and plays well.  Listening to a well performed version might add a lot of inspiration and interest to the gift.
