¿What does the abbreviation "app." mean in French? The piece has "gliss. app." and fltz. app."

"Court" means short (I'm guessing Poulenc?) app. I do not know.

app. in French stands for 'appogiature or appoggiature' (from the Italian appoggiatura):

Melody ornamentation consisting of a little note without value of length, that is heard on top or beneath a real note and before this note.
