Russianoff method

I am going to try and talk to the company to print more of the books for you all. If i can not convince them then i am deeply sorry. I'll try and keep you updated on the company thing. keep in touch. oh I do have a question for you all,this is about my grandfather Leon Russianoff, what was the nickname that he recieved when he kept on messing up or making mistakes. If you dont know than its ok. just some fun facts. I gave this to him when i was one year old before he past.

These are wonderful photos which I am sure brings you many wonderful memories. I was lucky enough to study with your grandfather for a few summers while attending college. He was an extraordinary teacher, coach, and human being. I wish that I had an answer to your trivia question regarding mistakes, but I don't. I do, however, remember that when I would move around too much during my playing in a lesson, he would put his hands on my shoulders and tell me to stop moving, as it could cause you to make a mistake. He was as good a teacher as a person could possibly ask for!

Nice pic of you and your Grandpa.

I would suggest you look into getting permission from the Company who owns the rights to self-publish the volumes yourself.

Even though I wrote you an email requesting a copy, I think that you need to take care of yourself and your family.

These are worth money to the Russianeoff estate, and given the work, knowledge, and lifetime of experience that went into creating the methods, they should not just be given away.

If you get the rights, you could even run copies and then spiral bind them. In quantity, this would not be expensive.

Any serious clarinetist would pay the money (I would charge about $30-40) to have each of these volumes in their library.

I know I would.

oh yea! if there was anything like a volume of advice or masterclass for sale, i would buy it in a second! you are truly lucky to be related to a legend!!!

I recorded the MasterClass that I played in. Was long before everyone got uptight about recording conventions.
