Scratched left side rail on a mouthpiece.

I've recently noticed a scratch on the facing of my mouthpiece on the left side. It hasn't affected the playing or how the reed seals on the mouthpiece but now when I place my balanced reed(tried 6 reeds or so and 2 other mouthpieces) a little bit to the right the resistance is increased but when I place a little bit to the left the resistance is greatly reduced. If I just place the reed center then it plays just like it has always do.

I don't have a camera and my camera built in on my MAC does not take clear photos of it since it is a bit difficult to see the scratch unless held up in a bright light but I can feel it with my finger nail.

The main reason for me to put up this new thread is because when I searched for Scratched lay, mouthpiece or facing I didn't get any photos. So I would like to ask if anyone has a photo of scratch on the lay that is not of any harm and a photo of a scratched lay that affect the mouthpiece.
