How much variation is there in the total length from the tip to the bottom of the tenon of clarinet mouthpieces from different manufactures?

One of the diagrams in this YouTube video from Tom Ridenour says 89-91 mm (at 1:20 into the video)--in other words, 90 mm plus or minus 1 mm. I don't know if that's representative of most manufacturers or just him--you might ask him.

Vandoren and Zinner is 90mm and other makers are about the same. Generally, length is very consistant within the same brand.

I question the importance of this variation. The overall volume of air the mouthpiec holds (which determines the pitch quite dramatically) is far more telling and is determined by the smallness (ie a Buffet stock mouthpiece) or largness of the TONE CHAMBER (ie a Genusa).

Thanks for the comments. My reason for asking is that out of curiosity I measured four Vandorens, a Stowell Wells Schneider, and a Larry Combs LC3 and they were all 89-90 mm. When I measured a Pomarico crystal it was only 85.5 mm and as a result the reed actually extends to just about the bottom of the table. and this is what got me curious.

My Vandoren Crystal mouthpieces (believed made for them by Pomarico) measure A1= 88.5 A2 = 88.0, and an old B&H 926 measures 88.0 all these have noticeable larger internal bores than many"standard" french style mouthpieces.

I tried a Selmer CP100 once. It was noticeably shorter (2mm?) than everything else I own.
