Over the past few weeks Tom Ridenour has posted a number of new informational clarinet videos on YouTube.

He now has 19 different videos to see.

As usual, Tom is both extremely informative and entertaining with his unique down to earth home spun humor.

Of particular interest in the latest set is another blindfolded reed finishing demo and a new video on how he hand finishes his mouthpieces.

Yes, please take advantage of these videos. This guy knows his stuff, and really helps to answer a lot of questions about the clarinet.

LOL--after watching TR work on that mouthpiece, I can't wait to start "improving" my Chicago Kaspar with some sandpaper.

well you obviously would not touch your good mouth piece. But since watching those MP videos I fixed an old Selmer HS* Mouth Piece, and my brothers old Meyer V Alto sax Mouth Piece. They were both all nicked up, and now they actually play. I will admit, its kind of fun working on old equipment just to see what you can accomplish.

Tom's videos and his advice is really great. I always learn a neat little trick or two from him. It's like the ATG reed system; a simple solution for a tricky problem. And the blindfold test is pretty funny.

Another You Tube favorite of mine is Nina Perlove on flute. She has some terrific videos and be sure to check those of her playing (wonderful sound and technique).
