I was jsut checking out Tom's latest YouTube videos, and he referred to a sale now going on on hei website.
I checked it out, and he has a 1-month price reduction on almost everything except the C clarinets. That includes both basses, the Basset A, and the Bb and A Lyrique horns. Those who have been waiting for an opportunity to try one of these instruments at a lower price don't have t6 o wait any longer.

Are you complaining that he's offering them at reduced prices?

Jeff if he will not have good offers on them after 2-3 years then I will be disappointed since there is no way not matter how good the offer is that I can afford it in the crises we have here in Iceland. The dollar is 50% more expensive than in February 2008,the pound is 33% more expensive and the Euro is 44% more expensive. This is the rate from our National central bank but the rate from the European central bank has not changed since 3.December 2008 and 1 Euro is 290 Icelandic Krona but here in the Icelandic central bank you can get it for 191 Icelandic Krona so no offer in this situation is good enough for me.

Hey Iceland,
Didn't you hear?....China is planning on buying the country of Iceland and will annex it to Outer Mongolia.
The Lark will be the official clarinet of Iceland by 2012.
Don't worry about the Lyrique.

Then again, a musical instrument will retain its value far better than any of those over-hyped stock options, hedge funds and what other products these sharks were selling us.
Hmm, what a patent excuse for GAS! ;-)

Actually, I could almost use that excuse, Ben. Over the past three years, we have procured three clarinets for my daughter as Christmas presents:
2008- a used Eefer she was borrowing from a local clarinetist
2007- a new R13 in A from Walter Grabner
and 2006- my old 1971 vintage R13Bb that I got back from the guy I sold it to.
This way, as she moves on to college next year, she has all the instruments (at least in theory!) that she will need for a few years. Still, that Basset Clarinet in A is looking awfully tempting!

Instead of CDS (Credit Default Swaps), you could have CCS (Cracked Clarinet swaps).
And would a clarinet ticker go on the NYSE or on the Chicago Mercantile?
