Okay, this is going to seem like a strange question, but I will ask anyways. Can anyone suggest music for clarinet and harpsichord accompaniment? I was thinking the Leferve sonatas, since they are early classical. I realize that all the suggestions will be some sort of transcription, but please go ahead.
Thanks

The DeFalla, while not a solo work, is a piece of chamber music that includes both clarinet and harpsichord. I cannot remember the exact instrumentation but I believe it also has oboe, violin, and one other instrument that escapes me. Great piece in Neoclassical style.

Because my wife's best friend is a harpsichordist, I played the Bach/Gounod Ave Marie at our wedding.....you know, harpsichord playing the (slightly modified) first piece of the Well Tempered Klavier to the tune composed by Gounod as a Paris Conservatory exercise.
Not bad.

I've played Bb clarinet/piano pieces with a harpsichord. The harpsichord was tuned to 415, not 440, and I played the Bb clarinet part on my A clarinet. Worked fine and a lot of fun.

I know two very good original compositions for clarinet and harpsicord:
The Scirolli Sonate
and Meeting by Esa Pekka Salonen.
Both are excelent works.
