Wood Selmer Clarinet Cannot play B Natural or C?
Author: UnkownUsername

I recently bought a wooden Selmer 100 Signet clarinet, and I cant seem to play B natural and (The C after the B, 3rd Line) without them being incrediblbly high pitched! I pulled on the barrel, but hardly any change occured. Is something wrong or do I simply need more practice? Also, many of my lower notes will play as an odd buzzing noise as well)

Note: Ive only played on it 3 days.

Have a technician look it over.

Sounds like a leaky pad.

Put the corner of a cigarette paper under the pad and press down the key to see if the pad grips it. If it doesn't grip the paper, you know you've got a significant leak there and identified at least part of the problem.
