Tonight Show recreation of "Does This Impress Ed Asner"

I just posted a You-Tube recreation of a clarinet act I did on the Tonight Show starring Jay Leno in a segment called "Does This Impress Ed Asner" on 12-19-08

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0S6cfrivyA

I wanted to post a You-Tube or a quick time of the show but NBC will not allow that. I wish I had a lawyer friend that could help me use it under the fair use doctrine for educational purposes, after all I have been a music educator for 35 years. Well that will not happen anytime soon as I do not have the $$$ for legal council to do it. So in any case I recreated it for viewing as we have 100's of requests to see it.

I have wondered what my teacher, Joe Allard would say after seeing my act (if he were alive today) . Have no idea but what I do has taught me lots of how to play the clarinet in tune and how it works without all its parts. I have spent lots of time working reeds to play in tune doing this act.

Thanks to the late Jimmy Yang who overhauled my clarinet one year before his passing, my clarinet plays better than it did when I got it in 1968.

I play several other songs the same way in my act where I take my clarinet apart. In addition, I sing the peacock song I wrote. I like to do do my act for nursing homes and area communities events.

Please be kind to me as I have not played in 25+ years as I have devoted my life to my teaching career in teaching instrumental music the last 35 years. I always want to be a performer and from what you see, I made the best choice. I will continue to play my act and if Hollywood or NYC calls I'll be there. I see my retirement in a few years having me play at nursing homes and communities events and that will be fun to do.

If you want to see photos and read a full account of my 5 hours at the Tonight Show see: http://www.peafowl.com/peafowlblog_files/39ba066abb1cc267de17444790197dc4-9.html

Thanks Tonight show for my 1-minute and forty eight minutes of clarinet fame. I time I will never forget!
