I aquired a pair of early 70's S1's with heavily modified/shortened barrels. I am not convinced the barrels are originals but of course in the 70's there was no marking to identify them.
Have searched the archives for specific data with no luck.
Does anyone have specific data on these barrels, namely..
Standard length (Bb /A )
Bore diameter (Bb / A)
taper (if applicable)
Are any of the "modern" range suitable ?

A student of mine years ago had an S1 B flat, and the barrel looked to be a standard 66mm.

I only have the Bb working at present (the A needs a repad) and having to use various 650/660 Buffet R13/RC barrels to get correct pitch but the initial results are quite promising.
Many years back a colleague in the orchestra had borrowed her teacher's (an ex Royal Phil player) A clarinet for a concert and I found that a very nice instrument which is why I acquired this pair recently.
The bore diameter at top of top joint measures 14.82/14.85 mm on my Bb and 14.80 on the A.
From posts above it looks like the lengths are pretty standard at 66/67 mm but still would like info on the bore sizes if anyone has that data available.
I raised this question some weeks ago with Buffet but no response to date.

Bought an A Buffet S1 used and it has a nice tone once I had it repadded. The barrel is not original.

I have a vintage HP (High-Pitch) clarinet from the teens-twenties, and the barrel it came with originally is 60mm. Tiny thing but original (has the original stamp on it).
