 Buying reeds in Zurich
Author: kenb
Date:   2009-02-07 03:12

Does anyone know of a shop in the Zurich city precinct which stocks Vandoren White Masters? I have a friend visiting Zurich on business and would like to have him pick up a few boxes for me.

Thanks

Musik HUG is right in the centre- http://www.musikhug.ch/deutsch/0168_zh_limmat/index.asp

They probably have White Master reeds, but if not you can try Musikhaus Bucher-

Bear in mind that Zurich is not the place where you can buy the cheapest reeds of the world.

Our band has their reeds flown in from abroad; including shipping and taxes they're nearly 30% cheaper that way.

Musik HUG is a fun store, though. I bought some very enjoyable stuff at the one in Lucerne.

I agree with Ben, though, that you could probably do better getting white masters from a mail-order place.
