I'm in pretty good shape with my clarinet cases, having followed some tips here for a briefcase conversion for my antiques.
I have a Hohner tenor recorder that comes apart in three sections. The cardboard box it came in is showing it's age, which is understandable given that it's probably 50 years old. The dimensions are 3 3/4" wide by 16" long. Any thoughts on where I could purchase a replacement case for it, or a good 'do it yourself" suggestion? I don't want to use just a cloth bag for this recorder, it has a key and I want to protect it and the wood. I also have a soprano recorder that I could include if it were the right set up.
I also have an Armstrong flute case that doesn't stay open, it's the hinges. Suggestions on a good replacement case for it would be welcome. I'd like the kind that stay open. How can I be sure that a replacement case will fit the flute, I understand some of the head joints are longer than others.
Thanks for any insights.

You might try Magna Music in CT for the recorder case. Check their web site on the Internet. They have EVERYTHING recorder. They have an incredible listing of recorders and it wouldn't be much of a trip from Rutland MA. ( I was an undergrad at Clark in Worcester,)
The flute case should be esasy. Check out Weiner or WWBW replacement cases. They have several brands.

Eefer guys: Thanks so much, I didn't know there was a business focused so much on recorders. It's a cool website. I got some sticker shock on the price for tenor recorders, in line with intermediate clarinets and up....wow!
Thanks for the information on the flute cases, also.
