Does anybody have any details on a Greg Smith Chicago style Kaspar mouthpiece? Is this of the coveted family of Kaspar mouthpieces?

Lori,
Gregory Smith makes a copy of the Chicago Kaspar mouthpiece. Gregory's mouthpieces are highly regarded (search the BBoard for some more information) and he's an active poster to the BBoard. Gregory is also a sponsor of Sneezy.Org.

Hi Lori;
Why don't you contact Greg via EMAIL. He is very easy to work with and is just a nice person. Or call him. I think his phone number is listed on the sneezy.org site.
The original (real) Kaspar MP hasn't been produced in a long while -- Mr. Kasper is no long with us.
Cheers,
Paul

I'm a proud owner of a GS Kasper. It is the best mp I own. Greg is easy to do business with. You may have to wait up to 6 months to get a kasper but check with greg. on availablity.
This is the only mp I own that i can hit a high c right off the get go.
This is not a paid comerical. I just like a good product.

I have one and am proud of its serial number: just #100.
I used to have a real Kasper-Cicero,and Kasper-Andover: Lost both with my
Buffet RC. Therefore I know how they sound.(Andover Kasper is not so good.)
And requested Greg on what basis does he make and he kindly replied to my questions.
Trying #100 Greg-Kasper model I noticed promptly:
1.Improved articulation(especially detached articulation became very clarinetwise)
2.Improved tone quality(very deep)
3.Improved intonation(beautiful tone comes with good intonation inevitably)

I believe you mean Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor Kaspars were made by Frank L. Kaspar much earlier than the Chicago and Cicero Kaspars. Generally, they aren't as highly sought after.
