Clarinet Repairs in Chicago

My daughter is learning to play in her school's band. She waited in line for an hour in order to get to bring a school instrument home to practice over the Christmas Break. When she got home and started her practice she discovered she'd been given a broken clarinet...her heart broken as well, as she burst into a tear generating machine. Please help with any suggestions as I'm a helpless mom with only an appreciation of music, and not the slighest idea of how to go about repairing a musical instrument.
