Heater in Room

I have a small personal heater in my room that I turn on when it get kinda chilly. Should I not store my clarinet in this room? Are the temp. fluctuations when I turn on the heater bad for it?

It's no problem. I would be aware to keep the clarinet and case away from the heater directly as the heater itself probably gets quite hot and the initial air is very hot, too.

I keep a heater in my studio all winter set on a low setting, 2-3 on a low heat setting, so my clarinets stay somewhat stable. I keep a small metal tub on top of it with water so some evaporates so the heater doesn't dry out the room too much. Though it really isn't a problem if the room fluctuates in temperature as long as it isn't drastic and you don't play a very cold clarinet until it adjusts to the new room temperature a bit.
