it's close enough to christmas that i am wandering aroung the house
playing "deck the halls" and "oh christmas-tree" by ear and trial and error.
my family has gotten tired of it, and want me to find some good christmas
music to preserve their ears (the first time through, i normally miss eight or
nine accidentals). does anyone know of some nice-sounding carols for he
Bb clarinet?

Hal Leonard has some books with CD accompaniment. The sheetmusic link on this web site will probably take you to it.

James Hosay (he was the Arranger for Pershings Own Army Band) has a very good Christmas book
Styles of Christmas and his 2nd book "More Styles of Christmas"
Curnow Publisher.
Jazzy versions of classic holiday tunes with live accompaniment cd. Really good stuff.

You might want to check out some of the sponsor links to the right side of these pages. Look under "Music & Books". The folks who are sponsors here are quite helpful when you are looking for pieces of sheet music. I can highly recommend Gary VanCott.
