Hi. We have a wooden clarinet that our son used use in band. We've been
wondering what kind it was for the longest time now. All we know is that it's a Yamaha. Ha ha. I've tried looking up kinds on websites, but the designs and markings were different. Here's some pictures:

Thanks! We'd like to get to the bottom of it!

That's a YCL-CS which was replaced by the CSV.
The CSV has a different shaped barrel and the small silver badge on the top joint with 'V' in it. Though for insurance or replacement purposes the CSV is the current equivalent.

Most certainly is ... the CSV also has a little more decoration under the CS.

Thanks! I thought it was a CS, but I wasn't sure which type, since the branding on the CS-V was different. I thought it was an older model, but I searched for CS-IV, thinking it was roman numerals. Ha! Thanks a ton you guys.

Do you know where I could go to find out about how much it would cost? Thanks again.

Any Yamaha agent can give you the retail price, though it'll be for the CS-V.

It´s a Custom CS, a pro line clarinet, which was manufactured in Japan at the end of the 90´s.
