 P. Gerard Bass Clarinet

I ran across a reference to a "P. Gerard" bass clarinet recently. I haven't heard of these previously. Is anyone familiar with this brand, or do you know how to learn more about these?

Sometime back I had a P G alto clar, sold it via EBAY , since I liked my Selmer better. It played fairly well, some of it's key construction features reminded me of earlier French oboes , having some "pinned" rod stacks, which I preferred to not work on!. As I recall, it had a "double-register-key" mechanism, actuated like a sax, from the left ring finger [unusual] . As you can see, I'm somewhat at a loss re: my descriptions. If it's on EBAY, I'll look it up, may comment further. Don
