I don't believe this player has been mentioned on this site before so I thought I would do so.
Several days ago I (and about 15 others) attended a short recital for clarinet and piano. Luca Luciano was playing the clarinet. All of the compositions were his own. I thought he was a very interesting player and his music was vivid and enjoyable.
He appears to work mainly in London and Italy.
The approach is (or seems) improvisatory. He starts off with a theme, and this is then developed fairly rhapsodically, until the theme reasserts itself. There are distinct shades of modern jazz as well as contemporary classical about the music. The technical elaborations are impressive but they always seemed exciting and musical as well as technical. The sound is a little unusual but fits the musical style well (though the acoustic was not helpful to the players). I found myself warming to the music more than I imagined I would.
He offered a recoding for sale which I bought and have also enjoyed, most of the pieces are his own, and he seems to be multi-tracking on many items (he does not acknowledge any other players). It does also include the Stravinsky Three Pieces.
I think this could appeal to people who appreciate modern jazz and anything that has an improvisory kind of aspect, as well as to serious classical buffs.
His web site is www.lucaluciano.com

THANK YOU FOR THE LINK! I think he has a wonderful sound. What kind of clarinet does he use?
